Laine’s modeling took the audience through a performance-art story titled “Identi-free”. In a cathartic experiment of self-expression, the model raised questions of selfhood as they posed with various combinations of gender-exploring dress and movement in front of a mirror. The piece built up to a smashing-the-mirror pose. In the final pose, the model and the mirror embraced.
